Introduction
After much fussing over visas and what to pack, we took a 3 week trip to China. We had a wonderful time and hope you enjoy the photos we took. When we got home we couldn't believe we had over 3,500 pictures. Don't worry, we didn't put them all up here. You'll notice that many of the pictures have a hazy look to them, that's the pollution in China's big cities. Beijing was the worst and Shanghai was more a combination of light smog and overcast weather. Everywhere we went we were impressed with the technology and the throngs of people going about their lives. We've put a little information on some of the photos to help explain what you're viewing. We hope you enjoy this peek at China, as much as we did.
On the map right you can see the route we took on our visit. We started in Beijing, then went to Xian, Guilin and ended in Shanghai with an additional week with Jacqui, Roger's daughter, and her family. You can click on a city to see the things we saw in that area.
