Beautiful Guilin

This was the smallest city we stayed in and our favorite for walkability and night time activity in the market area. The population is 4.7 million and the city center has a beautiful lake called Fir Lake and the Li River running through it.

The cuisine was more to our liking than northern China, since they spice the food more. Guilin is famous for the traditional Chinese countryside that surrounds it. We took a cruise on the Li River and visited rice terraces.
